Beautiful English Small Round Cartier© Enameled Box Colorful Snowman Decoration
Description: A beautiful small round-shaped enamel on copper box made in England. This box has a hinged lid that is nicely decorated with a colorful image of a snowman wearing a hat with flowers on top. The snowman is holding a broom and wearing a red and green scarf. There are birds at his foot on the snow. The background behind the snowman is light blue in color conveying a clear sky. As is the case with English enamels the decoration is a transfer rather than being a hand painted design. The side of the box is light blue in color and is undecorated. The box has a round flat base with rising rounded sides. The base extends a bit outward before it curves inward and reaches the top. The box is white on the inside with the back of the lid having a line drawing depicting a Holly branch. The bottom of the inside is undecorated. Both top and bottom are fitted with brass rings having a hinge on the back and a thumb piece on the front of the top portion. The inside of the box is also enameled and has a white coloring. The bottom of the box is light blue in color and has the following notation "Cartier (c) MADE IN ENGLAND". The brass ends of both the top and bottom are clean, shiny, and add immensely to the beauty of this box. Although the box has no indication that is for a specific Christmas it definitely convey a Christmas vibe.
