1852 Brazil Silver Coin Pedro II 2000 Reis KM# 462 Good Extremely Fine
Description: A beautiful extremely fine or better large size silver coin from Brazil. This is the king Pedro II issue 2000 Reis denomination coin from 1852. The coin shows the crowned arms within a large wreath on the obverse. The obverse has the legend IN HOG S. VINGES. in the top. The reverse shows the denomination in the center within a leafy circle. It has the legend "PETRUS II.D.G.CONST.IMP.ET PERP.BRAS.DEF." followed by the date 1852 along the edge if the reverse. The coin's edge is reeded. The coin is lustrous and very shiny, but shows signs of wear. The coin weighs 25.3 grams of 0.917 silver and measures 37 mm. Condition: I would grade the coin as extremely fine or better with all of its details being well preserved. The coin has wear commensurate with its age and circulated status. It also has surface marks in the fields. It is shiny and hence it is difficult to photograph. The coin has nice eye appeal and would make a good addition to your collection of silver world coins.
