1863 Civil War Store Token Fuld-700C-3a Charnley 11 Orange Street Providence RI

Description: A good extremely fine or much better Civil War copper token. The circa 1863 token represents the store card for Charnley at 11 Orange Street, Providence Rhode Island. The obverse of the token shows an anchor within a shield with 13 stars above it and the legend "CHARNLEY; No. 11 ORANGE St.; PROVIDENCE. R.I." surrounding the image. The reverse has the letter "C" in the center within a wreath and the legend "UNION; 1863" above it. The token has a plain edge. It weighs ~3.1 gm and is ~19 mm in diameter. A great looking and very interesting copper Civil War token, with a rarity index R2, to add to your collection.
