Description: A beautiful redware smaller pie plate (~7 1/4" diameter) with a coggled rim. This glazed dish has a beautiful design showing a snowman (Frosty?) with a yellow scarf standing on a pile of snow. The plate has a brown colored background with white specks (it is snowing). Frosty is wearing a black hat with a carrot nose, black eyes, and a black dotted mouth. The plate has a dark sponged coloring along the coggled rim. The plate has a slightly flat base with slightly rounded rising sides that rise to a coggled edge. The plate has thick walls and is rather heavy. The base as well as the exterior wall are not glazed and show the typical color of unglazed redware. The bowl is signed and dated by the artist .
