Antique Carved Wood Primitive Butter Print Stylized Flower Decoration
Description: A beautiful antique lathe turned wood wooden butter print. The butter print, which is made of a single piece of wood is decorated with a deep carved stylized flower. The print has a large flat surface with a deep carved flower in its center surrounded by leaves on branches and having carved design at the edge surrounded by two incised lines at the rim. The print also has a knob like handle on top. The entire piece appears to be made of a soft wood that is unfinished. Please view photos carefully as they are part and parcel of our description.

Size: Measures ~4 1/2" in diameter at the design part and is ~3" high.

Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: Very interesting old butter print with a nice design.
Condition: The piece is in good condition given its age and utilitarian function. It has no repairs, or cracks. It has general wear and scratches commensurate with its age and use. It also has some minor stains and soiling, and a few chips along the edge of the piece which can be seen in the photos. The piece has acquired a nice patina with age.
