Beautiful Toned Bronze Coin 1928 Penny from Great Britain King George V Beautiful About Uncirculated or Better
Description: A beautiful lightly toned about uncirculated or better bronze coin from Great Britain. This is the 1928 one penny bronze coin from the United Kingdom. The coin displays the bust of king George V facing left on the obverse and Britannia seated and facing right on the reverse. The coin has the words "GEORGIVS V DEI GRA:BRITT:OMN:REX FID: DEF:IND:IMP:" surrounding the king's head on the obverse. The reverse is marked "ONE PENNY 1928" surrounding the seated Britannia. This is a beautiful lightly toned coin but still retaining some luster with great eye appeal. Early British coins such as these are gradually getting more difficult to find especially in such nice grade. Please carefully review the photos presented as they are part and parcel of our description.
Date: 1928.
Mint: Great Britain.
Size and Weight: Bronze coin weighs 9.5 gm and is ~30mm in diameter. References: It is KM #838.
Condition: I would grade this beautiful coin a good about uncirculated or better. The coin has all of its details well preserved with minimum observable wear. The kings hair shows great details as do his facial features. The same holds true for Britannia on the reverse. The coin has a few minor scratches and bag marks, but these are minor and do not distract from the beauty and condition of this problem free coin. The coin has wear commensurate with its age and circulated state. The coin is lightly toned with a nice coloring, some residual luster and is problem free. Please see photo for additional condition information.
