Uncirculated 1863 YB Small Size Silver Coin Republic of Peru One Dinero NGC MS63
Description: A beautiful uncirculated Peruvian silver small size coin. This is the 1863 YB Republic of Peru transitional one or un dinero silver coin. The coin depicts the Liberty seated and facing right. Liberty is holding a staff in one hand and a shield that is sitting on the ground in the other on the obverse. The obverse has the legend "FIRM E Y FELIZ POR LA UNION" surrounding the seated liberty and the denomination "UN DINo" below her. The reverse has the Peruvian arms within springs and having a small wreath above it. The reverse has the legend "REPUB: PERUANA LIMA .9 D: FINO Y.B." surrounding the arms and the date 1863 below it. This is a small, about US cent size coin with a reeded edge. The coin is uncirculated, is graded as MS 63 (Mint State 63) by NGC and comes in a plastic slab so labeled. It has speckled gray toning, has no observable wear, and has great eye appeal. Please carefully review the photos presented as it is part and parcel of our description.

Size and weight: This is a one dinero, which should weigh ~2.5 gm of 90% silver and measures ~18 mm in diameter. The coin has a reeded edge.

Condition: The coin is uncirculated and is graded MS 63 by NGC. It comes in a plastic holder so labeled. The coin has no observable wear. It is very pleasing, boldly struck coin with speckled gray toning and a strong die clash on both sides to lend it character.
