Vintage Round Flue Cover Beautiful Santa and Children Print Linked Metal Frame

Description: A beautiful vintage round flue cover having a linked metal rim or frame and glass cover, with light cardboard backing. The piece has a chain on top to hang from. The chain is attached to the links within the frame. The flue cover has a print showing a nice image of Santa or Father Christmas with a bag on his shoulder, a boy and a girl at his side looking up to him, and a dog running at him all in a snowy winter scene as background. The image is framed by metal links of the edge that are above the plain of the glass. The inked metal frame is golden in color and is no ferrous. This is a nice vintage flue cover to add to your collection or can be used as decorative piece, which would display nicely. Origin: This flue cover was acquired at an estate sale in Southeastern Pennsylvania.

Size: The piece measures ~9 1/2" in diameter. The piece weighs slightly over 11 ounces.

Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: This is a nice vintage piece which would display nicely in any collection.

Condition: The flue cover is in very good condition. Its linked metal edge has lost some of its gold coloring. It is lightly soiled and has some water marks on the cardboard backing and the front print especially along the edge which can be seen in the photos. The water marks on the front of the piece are difficult to visualize because of the nature of the colors of the piece but they are there. Be that as it may, the piece is intact and looks great.
