ZEISS IKON Contessa LKE 35 Millimeter SLR Camera Zeiss Tessar 2.8/50 Lens W/Case

  • $ 69.99

Description: Offered here is Zeiss IKON Contessa LKE 35mm film SLR camera. This particular model is a fairly simple compact camera. It was in production in the period 1963-1965. This particular camera is equipped with a Carl Zeiss Tessar 2.8/50 number 3399201 lens. The camera comes with what we believe is its original brown leather case which is disconnected or cut into two halves. The camera came directly from its original owner who indicated that the camera works. However, we did not test the camera with a film. The shutter appears to work as it is supposed to, and the film advancing lever woks too. It is clean except for the back of the exterior which appears to have has tape on it which was removed but still left signs of its existence. The following are some of the camera's characteristics as gleaned from an internet search:
  • Lens: Tessar 50mm f2.8
  • Rangefinder
  • Produced between 1963-65
  • Similar to LK except rangefinder
  • Shutter: Prontor 500 LK speeds: 1/15-1/500, +B +self-timer
  • Coupled Selenium cell meter
  • Cocking lever: short stroke.

Please carefully review the photos as they are part and parcel of our description.

Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: This is a great camera and a true classic which takes beautiful photos easily when working properly.

Condition: The camera is all there and is clean. The lens is clean and as far as we can see is scratch free. The camera came directly from its original owner who indicated that the camera works. However, we did not test the camera with a film. The shutter appears to work as it is supposed to and the film advancing lever woks too. It is clean except for the back of the exterior which appears to have had tape on it which was removed but still left signs of its existence. The camera comes with what we believe is its original brown leather case which is disconnected or cut into two halves. Because of the fact that we did not fully test the camera, we are selling the camera AS IS for your collection, for spare parts or to be repaired. The body of the camera is intact with no breaks or repairs. It has some scratches and some minor soiling but these are nothing to worry about. Please see photos for additional condition information.
