Description: A beautiful book for the 1914-1920 issued by the Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul Railways. The book has a series of colored photos documenting highlights of scenes to be seen by taking the train from Lake Michigan to Puget Sound. The book shows photos through the Rockies, Bitter Root, and Cascade Mountains. This is the original book issued in the period of 1914-1920 and not a reproduction. It is full of colored prints mounted on brown card stock. It is held together with a rope and has three pages of text explaining the book and the last page is a map showing the Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul Railway system. The book consists of 48 pages and contains 22 colored photos. The book still has its original price tag indicating the it originally cost $1.00. This is a soft bound book ~11 7/8" by ~9 1/4." Origin: Purchased at an estate auction in Southeastern Pennsylvania.

Size: Book measures ~11 7/8" by ~9 1/4" and weighs about 12 ounces.

Binding: Soft cover.

Condition: The book is in very good condition with mostly clean pages. The pages have no tears or dog ears. There is no writing in any of the pages. The front and back covers are clean and show minimum wear and minor soiling. The rope holding the book is a bit tattered and has been retied. The spine is intact and the binding has no breaks. The one issue we see is the last 6 pages and back cover has a water mark which starts small inside the book and is largest on the last cover. Be that as it may, the book is in great condition for being around for 100 years. Please see photos for additional condition information.
