Pair of Antique Black and White Photographs of Man and Woman Velour and Oval Metal Framing
Description: A very nice pair of table top framed antique black and white photos. The photos are of a man and a woman possibly a couple. The man has a beard and is wearing a coat with a tie around his neck. The woman has a white scarf around her neck with a dark strap and a medal in the front. Her hair is cropped and appears to be held with a dark head dress. The photos are in small rectangular frames with a stand too be propped on a table. The frames are of a dark purple velour and the photos are surrounded by a silvery metal oval. A nice pair of old photos to add to your collection. Please carefully review the photos presented as they are part and parcel of our description.
Date: Unknown but most likely mid to late 1800's.
Origin: Purchased at an estate sale in southern New Jersey.
Size: Both pieces measure ~4 3/8" by ~3 1/8". The photos themselves located in the oval metal frame measure ~3" by ~2". Both pieces together weigh ~4 ounces.

Marks: Unmarked.
Condition: The photographs themselves are in good condition with the man's photo showing no observable problems. However, the woman's photo appears to have a crease in the bottom, which is difficult to see but is there. The frames are in good condition with the man's frame still having its stand while the woman's frame has lost its stand. The velour is a bit soiled and has some minor losses and a stain or two. The metal oval show some scratches but are solidly in place. Both photos are solidly in place and the backing of the frames show some losses and soling but are intact.
