1864 Twenty Dollars Banknote Confederate States of America Pick 69 Friedberg No. CS-67 Graded New 62 By PCGS

Description: A nice new 62 graded banknote from the Confederate States of America. This is the February 17, 1864, seventh issue, twenty dollars currency note. The note has a black design on a reddish underprint on the front. The front shows a vignette showing the state capitol building in Nashville Tennessee top center and the bust of Vice President Alexander Stephens bottom right. The back is green in color and shows the denomination in the center and four corners. This note is a series VI and has the serial number 72257 hand written in ink twice on the front and it is plate "A". The note has two signatures on the front. The note has no watermark that we could find. Please carefully review the scan presented as it is part and parcel of our description.

Size: Measures ~7" by ~3 1/8".

Pick Number: P 69 and is also listed in Friedberg as number CS-67.

Condition: The banknote is graded by PCGS as New 62. The note is free from circulation with sharp design and great fresh appearance. The note has squared corners, no pinholes, or tears. The only thing we see is the appearance of the ink from the signature on the front and part of a red stamp on the top right corner on the back of the note. These are most likely original to the note and the note is just beautiful and very attractive. The note would make a great addition to your confederate banknote collection.
