Description: A beautiful and clean fine or much better five liras banknote issued by "Turkyie Cumhuriyet Merkez Bankasi" or Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey. This is the L. 1930 issue. The banknote is issued according to the law of 11 Haziran 1930 (L. 1930) and is a third issue with the green back. The note is printed in light blue over multicolored underprint. The front depicts the image Kemal or Kamal Ataturk, the founder of modern Turkey, to the right of the front. The front also displays the denomination, the serial number, and three signatures. The back has the same coloring as the front and has an image of three women with wicker baskets filled with hazelnuts. The back also displays the denomination. This particular note has the serial number461693 printed twice in black on the front and the series number F 07 again printed twice in black on the front. The note has a watermark depicting Kemal Ataturk's bust and a security wire right of center. Please carefully review the provided scans as they are part and parcel of our description.

Condition: For international buyers, please note that the new US postal rates for overseas shipping for first class shipments are generally very high and we are unable to change them. Additional charges will be incurred depending on the value of the item. So please check the shipping cost to your location before bidding. I would grade this banknote as good fine or much better with all of its details being very well preserved. The note has several vertical folds, light wrinkling and minor general soiling and minimum staining. The note retains some of its original stiffness and crispiness. The edges of the note show roughness and minor nicks throughout especially at the end of the folds. The note has no tears, splits, graffiti, or pinholes. It is intact with the corners having minor rounding, folds, and creases. Just a great looking banknote to add to your collection. Please see photo for additional condition information.
