1954-56 ND Egypt 5 Piastres Banknote Signed Abdel Moneim El Kaissouny P174a CU

Description: A nice and fairly uncommon crisp uncirculated small banknote from Egypt. This is the 5 piastres note issued according to law number 50 of 1940 by the republican government and does not show the date of issue but was issued in the period September 1954 to June 1956 based on the signature El Kaissouny, who was the minister of Economy and Finance during that period. The front of the note is lilac, green, brown and orange showing the bust of queen Nefertiti to the right. The back is brown on orange background with guilloche patterns. The note is in Arabic on the front and in Arabic and English on the back. The note has a water mark three pyramids and is located within the white oval to the left of the front. This particular note has the serial number 580525 and is series "R/11" which is shown in Arabic and English in black color. It is signed by Abdel Moneim El Kaissouny, minister of economy and finance of Egypt in the period September 1954 through June 1956. The note was printed by the Survey Agency of Egypt.
