Description: A nice very fine or better banknote from New Caledonia. This is the Arrete of January 29, 1943 issued on April 20, 1943 as second issue or emission fifty francs banknote. The banknote is of simple red design showing a construction site on the front and a deer's head with antlers with a Loraine Cross between the antlers on the back. the note is in French, has no water mark, and is small in size. This particular note has the serial number 068,230 and shows two signatures on the front. Please carefully review the scan as it is part and parcel of our description.

Condition: I would grade this banknote as a nice very fine or better with all the details being very well preserved. The note is off-white in color. It has a vertical fold and a horizontal fold as well as general wrinkling. The note is shows some soiling but has no large or objectionable stains. It does have a couple of stains near the top left corner of the front, which can be seen in the scan. The note has no pinholes, no graffiti, and tears. The corners as are intact with some rounding and some bumps. The note retains some of its original stiffness. It has no tears, splits and the edges are intact with minimum observable roughness, if any. Just a beautiful note to add to your collection.
