Description: A beautiful crisp and uncirculated Banknote from the State of Chihuahua in Mexico. This note was issued by "The State of Chihuahua" or "El Estado De Chihuahua." This is the 10 February 1914 decree series F fifty Pesos banknote. The banknote depicts the portraits of Francisco Madero (President of the United Mexican States) and Abraham Gonzales (Governor of the State of Chihuahua) in black and white over a green colored background with black writing on the front. It displays the denomination at the four corners and has three signatures. The back is very light yellow to orange in color with the image of the capitol building in its center within a frame and surrounded by two winged allegorical animals. The back also has the denomination displayed in all four corners. The back does have a circular treasury seal for the state of Chihuahua in red. The back also displays printed red block letters "I-UMO". This particular note has the serial number 118616 on the front twice in red and does not display the serial number on the back. The note has three signatures displayed on the front but has no water mark that we could find. The paper of the note is stiff and crisp with no folds or wrinkles. The colors of the note are vivid and beautiful. Please carefully review the scans as they are part and parcel of our description.

Condition: I would grade this banknote as a crisp uncirculated with all the details being very well preserved. The note has no folds, creases, or wrinkling. It is clean with no soiling, stains, pinholes, or edge wear of any sort. The corners are intact and squared with no observable rounding. The note retains all of its original sheen, stiffness, and crispiness. The note has no tears, or splits. It does have some ink spots on the back, which we believe are from the ink on the notes which were put with this one in the pack at the printer. We believe these are original to the process of making the note. We consider the note as being problem free, beautiful, crisp, uncirculated, and is worthy of a spot in your collection of Mexican banknotes. Please see scans for additional condition information.
