Currency 1929-34 Great Britain One Pound Banknote P-363b Catterns Prefix R74 UNC

Description: A beautiful crisp uncirculated and nicely embossed English one pound banknote. This banknote was issued in the period 1929-1934 and is green in color. It shows a seated Britannia with lance in her left hand to the left of the front. The back is also green with purple and blue highlights and has the image of a long building in the top center. There are also two vignettes, one to the left and one to the right of the back showing Saint George on his horse slaying the dragon. The front displays the denomination while the back does not. The banknote has a watermark showing the head of Minerva wearing a head dress within the circle in the bottom center. The note is signed by B. G. Catterns the Chief Cashier the Bank of England at the time and has the prefix R74. The note also has no security thread. This is Pick No. 363b. This particular note has the serial number 568074. Condition: I would grade this banknote as a beautiful crisp uncirculated. The note is clean with all of its details being very well preserved. The note has no folds, no creases, and no wrinkling. It has no tears, splits, pinholes, stains, or graffiti. The corners are intact, squared and have no rounding at all. The banknote retains its original crispiness and is great looking.
