Currency 1937 Soviet Russia One Chervonetz Banknote V. I. Lenin P# 202a Good VF+

Description: A good very fine or much better banknote from Russia. This is the 1937 one Chervonetz. The banknote is black. The front depicts the bust of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin, the father of communist Russia, to the right and the Soviet Arms in the upper left corner. The back is black on blue with multicolored underprint showing the denomination in the center, to the left, and to the right. The note has Cyrillic writing throughout. This particular note has the serial number 784581 and is series Hy. It is unsigned and has no water mark. The note retains quite a bit of its original stiffness and has one central vertical crease with no additional observable folds. It is understood that these banknotes were issued to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the October 1917 Revolution, the Communist Revolution! Condition: I would grade this banknote as a good very fine or much better with all the details being still very well preserved. The note has one central vertical crease with no additional observable folds. It retains quite a bit of its original stiffness and crispiness. The note has some dark vertical lines in the bottom margin on the front and a light stain in the bottom margin on the back. Other than that, the note is lightly soiled with small stains at the top two corners. The note is intact with no graffiti, no pinholes, no tears and no splits. The corners are intact and have minimum rounding and minor bumps. The edges are intact with no noticeable roughness. A nice note to add to your collection.
