Description: A lot of seven Philippines Treasury Emergency Currency Certificate Issues. All seven are Series 1944. The lot consists of:

  • 20 Centavos Pick S513a
  • 50 Centavos Pick S514a
  • 1 Peso Pick S515
  • 2 Pesos Pick S524a
  • 5 Pesos Pick 526a
  • 10 Pesos Pick 527a?
  • 20 Pesos Pick 528a.
The 20 Centavos, 50 Centavos, 1 Peso, and 2 Pesos are from the 1943 Fourth Treasury Emergency Currency Certificate Issue. The 5 Peso, 10 pesos and 20 Peso notes are from the 1944 Treasury Emergency Currency Certificate Issues. All notes are crudely made and printed on off-white colored paper. They have colored signatures, colored seals, and colored serial numbers. The notes range in grade from very fine to extremely fine and are all in good original lightly circulated state. Condition: The notes range in grade from Very fine to extremely fine or better. They are all circulated with folds and creasing. Some have bumps and short tears along the edge. Several have pinholes, others have small stains, and one or two may even have been pressed. All notes have no long or major tears. However, all the tears mentioned earlier are limited to the margins. All notes have rounding in the corners, some more than others. None of the note shows signs of being repaired. All notes have minor soiling, some bumps here and there, and signs of circulation. All in all a great lot of emergency treasury notes and a good study group. Please see photos for additional condition information.
