Scarce 1961 Egypt Five Pounds Banknote Pick Number 38 PMG 64 Choice Uncirculated

Description: A choice uncirculated banknote from Egypt. This is the 5 November 1961 five pounds note issued by the Central Bank of Egypt. The note is green and brown on multi-colored underprint. It depicts the mask of King Tut Ankh Amon to the right of the front. The front is written in Arabic, while the back is green and shows the denomination with the name of the issuing bank in English. The note has a watermark depicting a Lotus flower in the bottom center. This particular note has the serial number 071050 and has the prefix The/4. The note has the signature of Abdel Hakim al-Refay on the front. The note is graded choice uncirculated 64 by PMG and comes in a plastic holder so labeled. The note has the notation Previously Mounted on the back of the holder. Please carefully review the scans presented as they are part and parcel of our description.

Condition: This is a rare banknote which was issued for only one month and then withdrawn. This particular example is graded 64 choice uncirculated by PMG and comes in holder so labeled. The holder also has the notation Previously Mounted on the back. The note has no folds or creases. The note is clean, free of stains, and has no pinholes or graffiti. The corners are fully squared with no rounding, bumps or creases. The edges are intact and the note has no tears or splits.
