Antique Tin Penny Bank In The Form Of A Bank Building With Red Painted Roof

Description: Antique and scarce painted tin penny bank in the form of a bank building. The bank shows a door in the front surrounded by two reticulated windows and the word BANK in raised lettering on top of it. The Building has a reticulated window on each side and a flat undecorated  back. The building has a pitched roof on top, which has cupola on top. The cupola has windows in relief on all sides, double windows in the front and back and single on the sides. The coin slot is on the roof near the back edge. The base is also solid. Both the roof and the top of the cupola are painted red as is the edge of the base. It would appear that they have been repainted sometime in the past. The bank shows nice details of the door and windows.  Just a beautiful penny bank in good used condition. Please carefully review photos as they are part and parcel of our description.

Size: The bank measures 4 1/2" High and the base is 3 3/8" by 2 3/4". The piece weighs over 3 ounces.

Condition: The bank is in good used and played with condition. It is bent at the edges of the roof and the base. It is also banged in on the front. It has minor signs of rust Paint losses to the roof. Be that as it may this is an old piece, which has seen a lot of use.
