Cast Iron Mechanical Bank Colorful Trick Pony
Description: This is a nice reproduction cast iron mechanical bank cast in the form of a circus or carousel pony with red blanket on its back. The pony would hold the penny in its mouth and when you pull the lever in the back of the base, he lowers his head dropping the penny into the trough. The pony is standing on a column with one leg raised. The pony is on top of a brown colored base where the coins are stored. The top of the base is painted in green. The base is marked Bank and Trick Pony in gold colored paint. . The bottom of the base is equipped with a rubber plug, which is removed to retrive the coins. This is a very nice and colorful bank, which would make a nice addition to your collection. Please see the photos as they are part and parcel of the description.

Origin: Taiwan.
Size: About 6 7/8" by 2 5/8" and is 7 1/2" high. It weighs over 4.5 pounds.

Marks: Stamped with the word "TAIWAN" on the base.
Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: This is definitely a nice reproduction mechanical bank which would make a nice and inexpensive addition to your collection. An original will be in the thousands of dollars if you could find it.
Condition: The bank is in excellent condition and works well. It does have some minor scratches as well as paint losses, which are difficult to see. Other than that the bank all there and has nice vivid colors. Please see photo to appreciate beauty and condition of this great mechanical bank.
