Kodak Six.20 Black Film Camera f 6.3 100 mm Kodak Anastigmata Lens Original Carrying Case and Box Made in USA
Description: Vintage Kodak Six .20 film camera. This is a Folding camera, which was introduced in 1937. Kodak made the unit for three years before discontinuing it in 1940. It has a meniscus lens and used 620 roll film, creating 2.25-inch by 3.25-inch photos. A grained leatherette covering and a folding frame finder makes the camera convenient to transport. This camera has a F 6.3 100 mm Kodak Anastigmat lens and the Kodak shutter ahs both "T" setting and "B" settings. The "B" setting is used for "brief time exposure where the user has to approximate the amount of time it takes for enough light to enter the camera to make the perfect photograph. The camera is all original and comes with its original leather carrying case and with its original cardboard box having the red and silver external color. There are also two paper brochures about night-indoor and daylight film photography in the box. The camera uses 620 film and is a manual camera requiring manual film advancing. The camera is clean inside and out with minimum wear and appears to be in working order but we did not test it, so we are selling it as is. Please carefully review photos as they are part and parcel of our description.
Size: The body of the camera measures ~5 5/8" by ~2 7/8" by ~1 1/16" when folded. The folding portion extends ~3 3/4" outside the body. The camera weighs over one pound and 2 ounces, while the camera, the case, the box with the paper brochures all together weigh about one pound and 10 ounces.
Marks: The box is marked Six.20 Black Kodak with Carrying Case f-6.3 Kodak Anastigmat Made in U.S.A. By Eastman Kodak Co. Rochester N.Y. The lens is marked f 6.3 100 mm Kodak Anastigmat Made in Rochester USA.
Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: A nice old camera in what appears to be very good condition and would make a great addition to your camera collection.
Condition: The camera appears to be in very good condition. Both the shutter controller and film advancing knob work as they should. The shutter also fires correctly. Remember this camera is over 75 years old and still looks good and is very clean inside and out. The lens as well as the view finder are fairly clean with minimum dust. Because the camera came from the home of its original owner we believe that it is probably in good working condition, but even if it was not, it would display nicely in your collection. The body is intact with no cracks, breaks or repairs. The body does have some minor scratches and a few minor scuffs to the surface. The leather carrying case is in great shape but is a bit soiled and the metal components have some green residue, which we have successfully cleaned most of it after we took the photos. The container box is soiled, has scuffs, some loss of colors, and a separation on one corner and partial side which can be seen in the 3rd and 4th photos. Again, we were not able to test the camera, so we are selling it "AS IS." Please see photos for additional condition information.
