Description: A nice cast iron Antique sad iron cathedral trivet. The trivet has a cathedral type design with symmetrical floral scrolls on top where the sad iron would sit. It has three one-inch legs so it sits away from any surface. It also has a shaped handle with a round opening at the end where it would hang from. Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: This is a nice and rather beautiful antique trivet that looks great. It would be a great addition to any collection.

Condition: The trivet is in very good condition. It is all original and complete. It has no breaks, no losses, and no repairs. The trivet has general rust signs throughout but this does not compromise the structural integrity of the piece. It could be cleaned and polished off to return it to its original beauty, but we leave that to the discretion of the new owner. The piece also has a couple of spots on the edge which a remnant from the casting process which have not been filed down completely, but that is not truly a problem. Other than that, the piece is all original and solid. Just a great vintage trivet to add to your collection. Please see photos for additional condition information.
