Old Painted Cast Iron Bottle Opener Man W/ Four Eyes, Mustache, & Open Mouth MIB
Description: A painted cast iron bottle opener in the form of a man having a moustache, an open mouth and four eyes. The piece has nice colors ranging from flesh tone, red on the cheeks and on the nose, blue around the pupils, and black for the mustache and eye brows. The man has no hair on top of his head. The man's mouth is open showing three teeth and that is the opener. The ears are open holes so that nails or screws can be inserted into them to fasten it to the wall. The opener comes in its original box, which indicates that the piece was manufactured by the Wilton Products Inc. in Wrightsville, Pennsylvania. The box is damaged and ripped apart, but is still identifiable and protects the piece. A great find, that seldom comes by. Date: Early to mid 1900s.
Origin: Purchased in an estate sale in Southeastern Pennsylvania. The piece was made in Wrightsville, PA.
Size: 3 3/4" long, 3 9/16" wide, and about 1 1/2" high. The piece weighs about 7.5 ounces.
Maker: Wilton Products Inc. of Wrightsville PA in York County.
Marks: Impressed on the back the number 3.

Condition: The bottle opener is in excellent condition, with no breaks or repairs. It has no color loss and obviously it was well protected by the box. The box itself is damaged and comes apart, but is still identifiable and can be repaired if you so wish since it has minimum losses. Please see photos for additional condition information.
