Vintage Beautiful Cast Iron Figural Painted Bottle Opener Goat Sitting on Behind
Description: A painted cast iron bottle opener in the form of a goat sitting on his hind legs. The piece is colored in gray and off white with a yellow horn, black eyes, and pink nostrils. The goat is sitting on a green colored base. The goat's horn in conjunction with its ear form the bottle opener. Very nice and unusual piece. Date: Unknown but most likely sometime in the 1900s.
Origin: It was purchased in an estate sale in Southeastern Pennsylvania.
Size: About ~4 1/4" high, and the base is ~2 1/2" by ~1 1/8". The piece weighs ~9 ounces.

Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: This is truly a nice and colorful piece that is not very common, which would make a great addition to your collection.
Condition: The bottle opener is in excellent condition, with no breaks or repairs. It does have some color losses and chips to the color throughout especially at the edges of the ear and the horn. It also has some minor signs of rust on the bottom of the base. All of these can be seen in the photos. We estimate the piece retains over 95% of its original paint.
