Vintage Painted Pair of Cast Iron Decorative Candlestick Holders By Hubley Painted Grapes and Grape Leaves

Description: A pair of vintage painted cast iron candlestick holders made by the Hubley Co. of Lancaster Pennsylvania. The holders are cast in the form of grapes and grape leaves and painted in green and orange or reddish brown colors. They are of low profile and are unusual and great looking. They have a well in the center to fit a candle. Both pieces are marked "LVL PAT 12 16 34" on the bottom. A very unusual and interesting set to add to your collection or use around your home. Date: Uncertain but most likely early to mid 1900's.

Origin: Was purchased at an estate sale in Southeast Pennsylvania. Made in Lancaster Pennsylvania.

Size: The piece measures ~5 3/4" long, ~3 1/8" at its widest point, and are ~1" in height. Both pieces together weigh bit over 14 ounces.

Maker: Hubley.

Marks: Marked "LVL" and the words "PAT 12 16 34" on the back.

Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: This is a nice pair of decorative pieces, which would definitely make an interesting addition to your collection or for use to decorate your home.

Condition: The two pieces are in excellent condition given their age and utilitarian function. The pieces are all original with no breaks, repairs or losses to the metal. The original paint is almost all there with some losses which can be seen in the photos. They are all original and look great. Please see photos for additional condition information.
