Vintage Blown Art Glass Flat Dome Shape Paperweight Green, Red & Yellow Millefiori Design
Description: A beautiful nice size and rather heavy flat dome shaped blown glass or crystal paperweight. This paperweight is made of un-tinted clear glass and has a colorful design known as Millefiori or thousand flowers at the base with the weight being clear above the design. The flowers within the design are larger than in the typical Millefiori paperweight. The flowers in this paperweight have a green exterior with a yellow center having a white border and surrounded by two shade of red. The piece has a flat round and nicely smoothed base. The piece is rather heavy for its size weighing almost one pound and seven ounces. Millefiori design is very common in Venetian art glass. This is truly a beautiful and rather interesting paperweight that is very decorative and would display nicely in your collection of art glass paperweights. Origin: Purchased at an estate sale in Southeastern Pennsylvania.
Size: The base is ~2 3/4" in diameter at the base and the piece is ~2 1/4" in height. The paperweight weighs almost one pound and seven ounces.

Marks: Unmarked. Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: A good size, heavy, and nice paperweight with a beautiful design. This is a very nice piece, which would display very well in your collection of paperweights.
Condition: The paperweight is in excellent condition and has no cracks, hairlines, or repairs. The colors of the piece are vivid and beautiful as is the design. The surface of the piece has a few minor scratches and minor nicks. These scratches and nicks cannot be seen with the naked eye except on the base and do not distract from the quality or beauty of the piece. The paperweight also has a few small air bubbles dispersed within it, which you would expect of a blown glass piece such as this. This is an absolutely great paperweight of the highest quality that is beautiful and in great shape. Please see photos for additional condition information.
