Description: A beautiful nice size and rather heavy ball shaped blown glass paperweight by Anthony DePalma of Wheaton Village in New Jersey. This beautiful paperweight is made of clear glass having a bluish tint and showing a decoration which we would characterize as jumbled colorful lines or threads. The lines are in blue, white, purple, red, and pink. The piece has a round flat base, which is stamped with the maker's mark. This is a large and very heavy paperweight (weighing over 2 pounds and 4 ounces) and has an unusual design. This is truly a beautiful and rather unusual paperweight that is very decorative and would display nicely in your collection of art glass paperweights. Date: Uncertain but most likely mid to third quarter 20th century.
Origin: Purchased at an estate sale in Southern New Jersey.
Size: The base is ~1 3/4" in diameter and the piece is ~3 1/2" in height. The paperweight weighs over 2 pounds and 4 ounces.
Maker: Anthony DePalma of Wheaton Village.
Marks: Stamped within the glass in raised lettering "A DEPALMA".

Condition: The paperweight is in excellent condition and has no cracks, hairlines, or repairs. The colors of the piece are vivid and beautiful as is the design. The surface of the piece has a few minor scratches and minor nicks. These scratches and nicks cannot be seen with the naked eye and do not distract from the quality or beauty of the piece. Additionally, the paperweight has a few air bubbles, which you would expect in a piece of blown art glass such as this. This is an absolutely great paperweight that is beautiful and in great shape.
