Description: A nice about uncirculated or much better 1905 gold coin from the United Kingdom. This is a sovereign coin having a reeded edge and displays King Edward VII's head facing right on the obverse. The reverse displays the image of Saint George on horseback slaying the dragon with the date 1905 in exergue. The coin has the words "EDWARDVS VII. D.G. BRITT: OMN: REX F.D. IND: IMP:" surrounding the king's head along the edge of the obverse. This is KM 805 weighing ~8 grams of 0.917 purity gold which translates to 0.2355 oz AGW. The coin measures about 22 mm in diameter. A beautiful coin with nice clear fields and great eye appeal. The fields are clear and the coin shows minimum wear. Condition: I would grade this coin as about uncirculated or much better with nice clear fields. The coin has minimum wear and is problem free. It has some surface scratches and bag marks as can be seen in the photos. The coin is much better looking than the photos suggest. The coin has all of its details are very well preserved with minor wear to the high points. The coin retains some of its original luster and has great eye appeal.
