Description: Beautiful lustrous and great looking uncirculated 1955 five pesos Mexican gold coin. The coin depicts the image of Miguel Hidalgo's head on the obverse and the Mexican arms (eagle with serpent in its mouth standing on cactus) on the reverse. The obverse has the legend "CINCO PESOS; 1955" surrounding Hidalgo's head and "M” and a star below it. The reverse has the legend "ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS" above the arms. The coin has a toothed border and the words "INDEPENDENCIA Y LIBERTAD" along the edge. It is KM-464, weighs ~4.1 grams of 0.900 gold, and measures approximately 19 mm in diameter. Mint: Mexico City as evidenced by the letter M on the obverse.

Size and weight: This is a 5 pesos coin, weighing ~4.1 grams of 90% gold (0.1206 oz AGW) and is ~19 mm in diameter.

References: It is KM #464.

Condition: I would grade the coin as brilliant uncirculated with all of its details being well preserved and no observable wear. The coin has minimum surface marks. The coin is brilliant and is rather difficult to photograph. It is a great looking coin worthy of a spot in your collection. Please see photo for additional condition information.
