1815 Gold Coin Parma Italy 40 Lire Duchess Maria Luigia Bust Left KM# C-32 AU50

Description: Beautiful about uncirculated gold coin from Parma Italy. This is the 1815 forty Lire showing the crowned head of Maria Luigia, Napoleon Bonaparte’s ex-wife, on the obverse and crowned arms on the reverse. The obverse shows the bust of Maria Luigia facing left with the legend "MARIA LUIGIA PRINC. IMP.ARCID.D'AUSTRIA" along the edge surrounding the bust an the date 1815 below the bust all on the obverse. The reverse shows a crowned mantled shield with the denomination "40 LIRE" below it. The arms is surrounded by the legend "PER LA GR. DI DIO DUCH. DI PARMA PIAC. E GUAST." along the edge of the coin. The coin is grade about Uncirculated AU50 by NGC and comes in a plastic holder so labeled. The coin should weigh 12.9 grams of 0.900 gold and measures ~22 millimeters in diameter. The coin is beautiful with good eye appeal. It is KM C-32. Please carefully review the photos provided as they are part and parcel of our description.

It is beautiful with nice eye appeal and has wear commensurate with its age and it’s about uncirculated state.
