Description: A good extremely fine or much better Civil War copper token. The circa 1863 token represents White Hatter store card. The obverse of the token shows the name of the business and the address in New York City. It has the legend "WHITE HATTER 216 BROADWAY" surrounded by a linear border and having a toothed border. The reverse of the token has the image of an Indian Head with a diamond head band and having the date 1863 below it. The head is surrounded by 9 stars. The reverse also has a toothed border. The token has a plain edge. It weighs ~3.5 gm and is ~19 mm in diameter. A great looking and very interesting copper Civil War token, with a rarity index R3, to add to your collection. Marks: Unmarked as to the maker.

Condition: The token is in good extremely fine condition or much better. I am tempted to actually say it is about uncirculated, but will leave that up to you upon examining the photos. It is nicely toned and shows minimum wear ?if any. The token is nicely toned and still shows traces of red copper coloring surrounding the date on the reverse.
