1936 Government Of Hong Kong One Dollar Banknote King George VI 58 Choice AU OPQ

Description: A rare nice about uncirculated banknote with optimum paper quality from Hong Kong. This is The Government of Hong Kong Not Dated (ND), but known to have been issued in 1936 one dollar currency note. The banknote which was issued by the "The Government of Hong Kong" and printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co. Ltd. has a purple design on multicolored underprint with the image of King George VI in an oval frame to the right of the front. The back has the same color scheme as the front and displays the denomination in the center as well in all four corners. The front also displays the denomination as well as one signature in the bottom center. It also displays the serial number. This particular note has the serial number R757840 displayed twice in black on the front. The note is undated, but is known to have been issued in 1936. The banknote has no watermark that we could find. It is graded by PCGS Gold Shield Grading as 58 Choice AU OPQ and comes in a plastic holder so labeled. Pick Number: P 312 and is listed in The Banknote Book as B702a.

Condition: The note is graded by PCGS Gold Shield Grading as 58 Choice AU OPQ (Optimum Paper Quality) and comes in a plastic holder so labeled. Close examination of the note failed to identify any issues which would result in Almost or About Uncirculated grade instead than a straight Uncirculated grade.
