Description: A beautiful apparent very fine or much better large size banknote from Switzerland. This is the 100 Francs currency note issued by The Swiss National Bank in Bern and Zurich on March 28, 1963. The note has dark blue and brown-olive design on multicolored underprint. The front of the note shows the head of a boy with a lamb to the right and the denomination center and left. The back has the same color scheme as the front and shows the image of Saint Martin off his horse and cutting his cape to share. The note shows the denomination on the front and back in multiple locations throughout. It has three signatures and the serial number on the front. The banknote has no watermark that we could find but has a security thread left of center. This particular note has the serial number 41H71233. I would grade this banknote as a nice apparent very fine or much better with all the details being very well preserved. The note retains quite a bit of its original sheen, stiffness and crispiness. It has vertical folds and a horizontal crease. It has some light folds here and there that are difficult to visualize. The note shows some light soiling but no stains. It has no graffiti, no tears and no splits. The note has several pinholes indicative of staples that were removed in the center of the top and bottom. This is the main reason we are grading the note as apparent very fine instead of straight very fine or as about extremely fine. It does have minor to the edges but nothing to worry about. The corners are intact with some minor rounding and some minor bumps. The edges are intact with some minor roughness at the ends of the folds. A beautiful and very desirable note to add to your collection. Please see photo for additional condition information.
