1977 Breininger Redware Glazed Slip Decorated 7" Pie Plate Yellow Brown & Green
Description: A nice glazed and slip decorated redware pie plate. The plate has a flat base with flared rounded sides rising to a lightly coggeled edge. The plate is decorated with a slip design depicting wave shaped wide yellow bands over orangish brown colored background with two lines indicative of copper oxide. The plate is glazed on the inside but not on the back. The unglazed back has the characteristic color of unglazed redware and is signed by the artist. This is an early plate made by Lester Breininger himself.
