Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: An interesting antique match safe. It would make a great addition to your small box collection, match safe collection, or tobacco/smoking related collection. Condition: The match safe, is chromed metal (possibly brass) and is in good clean condition with no major problems. The hinged lid works great and closes tightly as it should. The matchsafe has no breaks or repairs. The vesta has a few minor and shallow dings to exterior with the most noticeable on the back opposite where the hound and fox scene is located. It also has some surface scratches, some soiling, and general wear to the chromed exterior commensurate with the pieces age and utilitarian function. Be that as it may, these are minor and do not affect the beauty and quality of the piece.
