Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: An interesting antique snuffbox in very good original condition, which would make a nice addition to your snuffbox collection or tobacco/smoking related collection.

Condition: This snuff box is in generally good condition with minor dings and scratches throughout. The hinge is intact, but may have been resoldered sometime in the past, and the lid closes properly tight as a lid of a snuffbox should. The interior of the box is dark and soiled probably from the snuff. The exterior of the box has a nice warm patina and is engraved with the words “James Brindley Esq. Winchester". In our opinion, the box is soiled and has residue of brass cleaner along the edge which would benefit from a good cleaning to bring the box to its original beauty. The box is all original and is in good condition after being around for over 200 years. The box could probably use a good cleaning to bring its full beauty out, but we leave that to the discretion of the new owner. Just a nice antique pewter snuffbox worthy of a spot in any collection.
