Beautiful 1977 Oman Half Rial Banknote Pick Number 16a Oman Central Bank UNC
Description: A nice crisp uncirculated banknote from Oman on the Indian Ocean. This is the no date Half Omani Rial banknote introduced in 1977 and issued by the Central Bank of Oman. The banknote is green and purple on multicolored underprint. The front is in Arabic and shows the Omani arms while the back is in English and depicts the image of the Sumail fortress. The note has a watermark depicting the Omani arms and a solid security thread right of center. The front has one signature that of the president of the board of governors. The note is undated but is known to have been introduced in 1977. This particular note has the serial number 701196 and is series "Aleff/2" which is written twice in black on the front. The note is also without pinholes or graffiti. Its corners are intact, fully squared, with no observable rounding. The edges are intact and show no roughness.
