1819 Liberty Head Matron Head Design Beautiful Large Date Large Cent NGC Graded VF20 BN Stack's 57th St. Collection
Description: A nice brown NGC VF 20 BN copper 1819 Liberty Head with a Matron Head design large cent or penny. This coin is of the small date variety. The coin came from the Stack's W 57th St. Collection and is so marked on the slab. The coin itself is better than the scan shows and has much of its details evident. The details of the coins are very distinct and show quite a bit of wear commensurate with its grade. The obverse shows some wear to the cheek of lady liberty as well as the hair line. However, you can still see the word LIBERTY very well. The rest of the coin shows wear but the details are still easily identifiable, just look at Liberty's head and the details of her hair with some wear to it and the word LIBERTY which is nicely preserved on the obverse. The word one cent in the center of the reverse and the words United States of America are very distinct while the wreath has wear but still well preserved. The coin has wear commensurate with its age and circulated status. The coin is problem free and in original condition displaying a handsome brown colored patina. These coins were designed by Robert Scott . Early US coins such as this are gradually getting difficult to find. Please carefully review scan presented as it is part and parcel of our description.
