1863 Civil War Store Copper Token ML Marshall Oswego NY Fishing Tackle Rare Coin
Description: An about uncirculated or better Civil War copper store token. The token is for GM. L. Marshall of Oswego New York. It is date 1863 and advertises the store. The obverse depicts a the image of a fish facing left in the center with the date 1863 below it and the legend "M.L.MARSHALL*OSWEGO, N.Y.*:" surrounding it along the rim has the legend "TOYS, FANCY GOODS" along the rim on top and the words "*FISHING TACKLE AND RARE COIN" in the center and along the bottom of the filed. The token has a plain edge with the rim on both sides being beaded. It weighs ~3.3 gm and is ~19 mm in diameter. A great looking and very interesting copper Civil War token to add to your collection.
