1863 Copper Patriotic Civil War Token Flag Our Union/Shoot Him On Spot Dix AU 58
Description: An about uncirculated Civil War Patriotic copper token. The token displays the image the US Flag, having 30 stars and 6 bars, surrounded by 13 stars with the word THE FLAG OF OUR UNION along the edge and the date 1863 below it on the obverse. The reverse shows the words "IF ANYBODY ATTEMPTS TO TEAR IT DOWN*/SHOOT HIM*ON THE SPOT*/ DIX" in concentric circles on the reverse. The token has a plain edge, weighs ~2.9 grams and is ~19 mm in diameter. It is Fuld 212/415a with a rarity index R-2. Condition: The token is graded by ANACS as AU 58 and comes in a plastic slab so labeled. The token is light in color and shows minimum wear to its details. It has a spot on the top of the rim on the reverse which looks like it has been flattened and this maybe the reason for the notation on the slab "Rim Clip". Other than that, the token is problem free and is great state of preservation. A nice and well-preserved patriotic Civil War token to add to your collection.
