1874 Newfoundland Canada Silver Coin Fifty Cents Queen Victoria Left ANACS VF30
Description: A scarce silver coin from the Canada. This is the 1874 fifty cents coin issued in Newfoundland. The coin displays the laureate head of Queen Victoria of Great Britain facing left on the obverse. The obverse has the legend "VICTORIA DEI GRATIA REGINA" above the head along the edge and the legend "NEWFOUNDLAND" below it. The reverse shows the denomination with the date under it all within an ornamental circle along the edge. The coin appears to have a plain rim. It should weigh ~11.78 grams of 0.925 silver and is about 29.5 millimeters. The coin is graded by ANACS as VF 30 and comes in a plastic slab so labeled. Condition: The coin is graded by ANACS as Very Fine VF 30 and comes in a plastic holder so labeled. The coin is nicely toned and problem free. It shows wear especially on the reverse but retains the nice look of the queen’s head on the obverse. It has general wear commensurate with its grade and circulated state.
