Description: Beautiful copper coin dated 1299 AH or 1882 AD from Zanzibar. The coin which is NGC graded AU58 BN was minted during the reign of Sultan Barghash Ibn Sa'id. Barghash Ibn Sa'id ruled this island nation off the east coast of Africa in the period 1870-1888. This is a one pysa coin. The coin depicts scales with the AH date on the obverse and has the full name of Sultan Sa'id on the reverse all in Arabic lettering. This is KM# 1, measures about 27 mm in diameter.
