Canada Five Cent Coin

1903 Silver Five Cent Canadian Coin King Edward VII Mint Mark H Choice About Uncirculated or Better

  • $ 79.99

Description:   A choice about uncirculated or better 1903 Canadian Silver Coin. This is the King Edward VII Silver five cent piece. It has the words "EDWARDVS VII D G REX IMPERATOR" surrounding the king's crowned bust facing right on the obverse. The reverse is marked "5 CENTS CANADA 1903" within a wreath of vine leaves and toped with a crown. Early Canadian coins such as this are gradually getting more difficult to find. Please carefully review the scan presented as it is part and parcel of our description.

Date: 1903

Mint: Heaton Mint in Birmingham England as evidenced by the letter "H" on the bottom of the reverse.  Size and weight:  This is a silver 5 cents, weighs ~1.16 grams and is ~15.5 mm in diameter and is composed of 92.5% silver.

References:  It is KM #13.

Condition:  I would grade this coin as choice about uncirculated or better with all the details being very well preserved and the coin having most of its original mint luster. The coin has very nice eye appeal and is problem free. The coin is much better than the scan shows. It does have minor scratches, bag marks and wear commensurate with its circulated state.
