1909 Copper Coin From Russia Half Kopek CNB St. Petersburg Mint Rule of Czar Nicholas II Beautiful NGC Graded MS62 RB
Description: Beautiful small copper coin dated 1909 from Russia. The coin which is NGC graded MS62 RB was minted during the reign of Czar Nicholas II. Nicholas II was the last Emperor of Russia from 1894 until 1917. He was known as Saint Nicholas the Passion-Bearer in the Russian Orthodox Church. He was killed by the Bolsheviks in 1917 after the communists took over. This is a half Kopek coin. The coin depicts the crowned monogram of Nicholas II above a spray on the obverse. The reverse shows the denomination, date, and mint mark "C(Greek letter Pi)B" or what is referred to as CNB. This is KM-Y# 48.2, weighs 1.6 grams of copper and measures about 16 mm. Condition: The coin is graded Mint State MS 62 RB (Red Brown) by NGC and retains quite a bit of luster with reddish-brown coloring and has great eye appeal. The coin is in a slab and is labled as such. It is great looking and is much better than the photos show.
