1915 Currency Series G State of Yucatan Mexico 100 Pesos Banknote P# S1125 UNC
Description: A beautiful crisp uncirculated Banknote from the State of Yucatan in Mexico. This is the 100 pesos Comision Regladora Del Mercado De Henequen y La Tresoreria General Del Estado. The black on orange banknote is dated March 1, 1915 and displays the image of Miguel Hidalgo to the left of the front. The front has three signatures and the serial number. The back is brown-violet in color and depicts the image of a gateway in the center flanked by the denomination on both sides. The note also has a blue oval seal on the back possibly a treasury seal but we are not certain. The note is a Series G issue. This particular note has the serial number 3474, which we like for its shortness and the repeated 4 with the 4 +3 adding up to 7, displayed twice on the front. The note does not have a watermark that we could find. It is Pick Number S1125. The note is crisp uncirculated with its original stiffness and crispiness all there and retains all of its original colors without fading or loss of vividness. Please carefully review the scan presented as it is part and parcel of our description.
Date: 1915.
Printer: Unknown.
Size: The banknote measures ~6 1/4" by ~3 1/4".
Pick Number: Pick number S1125.
Condition: I would grade this banknote as crisp uncirculated. The note has no folds, no creases, no pinholes, no graffiti, and the corners are intact, fully squared with no signs of rounding. It has no tears, splits, and the edges are intact with no signs of wear or roughness or nicks. The banknote does not appear to have seen any circulation and still retains all of its original stiffness and crispiness. A great looking note and would make a nice addition to your collection. Please see photo for additional condition information.
