1919 South Russia 10000 Ruble Civil War Government Treasury Issue Banknote Pick Number S425a Crisp Uncirculated Currency
Description: A beautiful crisp uncirculated Banknote, or Government Treasury Note Issue, from South Russia. This is the 1919 Civil War ten thousand Rubles currency. The banknote has a brown design over green and dull orange underprint. It has inscription in Cyrillic on both the front and back. The front depicts the image of a double headed eagle on top of inscription within a framed oval with elaborate designed decoration framing. The back has a cross in the bottom center with stars on the towers. There is the double headed eagle in a shield in the center surrounded by a woman with a sword to the right and another with a spear to the left. The design is is in brown or black over a dull orange underprint. There is a clear area left front and right back where the denomination is shown on dark oval background is located. Both designs on the front and back are framed with an ornate decoration. The banknote displays the date and the denomination on the front and the back. It has two signatures on the front. This particular note has the number ?3-015 displayed twice on the front. The note does not appear to have a watermark. Please carefully review scan as it is part and parcel of our description.
