1964 German Democratic Republic 50 Mark Deutschen Notebank Banknote P 25a UNC
Description: A beautiful crisp uncirculated banknote from German Democratic Republic or East Germany. This is the 1964, 50 mark Der Deutschen Notebank (DDR) currency note. The banknote which was issued by the East German government is deep green on multicolored underprint with the image of a Friedrich Engels to the right of the front. The back has the same color scheme as the front and shows the image of wheat threshers in the field and the East German arms in the top left corner. The front of the note shows the denomination, the date, and the serial number. It has no signatures. The back only shows the denomination. This particular note has the serial number AN6741088 displayed twice in red on the front. The banknote has a watermark located along the left edge of the front, which displays the bust of Friedrich Engels image and has no security thread.
