Beautiful Antique Carved Wood Small Primitive Butter Print Stylized Plant Circle Incised Border
Description: A beautiful smaller size antique lathe turned and carved wood butter print. The butter print has a carving depicting a stylized carefully balanced plant. The plant has two leaves arranged in a V shape with grass blades emanating from its center. The print has three inceised circle along its border framing the carved design. The bitter print appears to be made of a single piece of wood. It has a knob like handle in the center with a slightly domed top. Date: Mid to late 1800's.
Origin: Southeastern Pennsylvania.
Size: Measures ~3 1/4" in diameter at the design part and is ~2 7/8" high. The piece itself weighs about 2.5 ounces.

Condition: The piece is in very good condition given its age and utilitarian function. It has acquired a nice warm gray age patina from years of use. It has no repairs, no cracks, some minor losses and dings at the edge of the design disk, and a few minor stains here and there all of which can be seen in the photos.
